Arizona Democratic lawmaker Arlando Teller resigns to take position with Biden administration

Arizona state Rep. Arlando Teller, D-Chinle, announced Monday that he has resigned from the Legislature to take a new job in the Biden administration as deputy assistant secretary for tribal affairs in the U.S. Department of Transportation.
Teller’s departure leaves a vacancy in the state House of Representatives, which was narrowly divided 31-29 between Republicans and Democrats.
