Arizona bystander firing at shoplifting suspect accidentally shoots store employee

A woman trying to help stop a shoplifter at an Arizona Ace Hardware accidentally shot a store employee, according to police.
Police responded to the Phoenix shopping center around 9 a.m. Saturday and found the employee with a non-life threatening gunshot wound, according to ABC 15.
A witness outside the store had seen the male employee, who has not been publicly identified, running out with the accused shoplifter, and fired her gun.

But instead, the armed bystander accidentally hit the employee, police said.
