Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, December 23) — Public school teachers are having a difficult time claiming a refund from the Department of Education to cover internet connection expenses for the past 10 months.
An elementary school teacher in Quezon City who wishes to remain anonymous told CNN Philippines the requirements are unreasonable.
“Parang ayaw nilang magbigay. Automatic naman na pag guro ka ng NCR, gumagamit ka ng wifi or nagloload ka ng data,” she said over an exchange of messages.
[Translation: It seems like they don’t want to give a refund. It is automatic that you use wifi or data when you’re a teacher in NCR.]
