Apponequet beats Old Rochester for South Coast Conference Blue title

LAKEVILLE — Every day in gym class since freshman year, senior Mike Henricksen has looked up at the football banner at Apponequet and dedicated himself to helping add to it.  
“We’ve been promising ourselves this since freshman year,” Henricksen of winning a conference title. “It’s the best feeling to finally make it happen. It’s a great feeling to have that 2021 on the banner.” 
Henricksen was instrumental in the Lakers’ 42-7 victory over rival Old Rochester on Saturday night at Griffin Field to clinch Apponequet’s first conference title since 2014 with big plays on both sides of the ball.
