"The decision has not been made without a lot of consideration and care, but we believe this is the right thing to do given the anticipated weather conditions for this evening," Appleton West Principal Mark McQuade wrote in a message to families Thursday, adding that if the ceremony were held outdoors amid heavy rain, livestreaming would not be possible.
Masks will still be required and, to encourage physical distancing, each graduate will receive only two tickets. Graduates were supposed to receive four each if the ceremony was held outdoors.
