Apathy of urban electorate defining feature of Lok Sabha Polls

Home minister Amit Shah's constituency of Gandhinagar saw 59.8% polling, much less than 66.08% in 2019. The figure was 54.72% in Ahmedabad East against its 2019 percentage of 61.76. In Ahmedabad West, the trend was similar with 55.45% voting as against 60.8% in 2019. Cities of Jamnagar, Rajkot and Vadodara too showed downward trends. Agra's figure was 54.08%, against 59.12% in 2019.
