A Darwin pilgrimage
Darwin Harbour as it is today. In February 1942, the city was subjected to the greatest foreign attack on Australian soil.
It is a fact little remembered around the country that the air raid on Darwin just before 10am on February 19, 1942, by 188 Japanese bombers was the first and the largest foreign attack on Australian soil.
