June 25 is Anthony Bourdain Day. It falls on the beloved chef, author and world traveler's birthday.
He would have been 65 this year. Bourdain died by suicide on June 8, 2018.
In New Jersey, we claim him as our own, though Bourdain was born in New York and travelled all over the world. There's a reason why his show was called "Parts Unknown."
But, before he was swallowing beating cobra hearts and fermented shark, he lived in Leonia, vacationed on the Jersey Shore and downed hot dogs at Hiram's.
Here's a look back at some of our favorite Bourdain tributes. Happy birthday, chef.
