THE eight lawmakers named by President Rodrigo Duterte late Monday landed on the list of the Presidential Anti-Corruption Commission (PACC) allegedly for various anomalies, including ghost projects in Occidental Mindoro and a new road that crumbled in Quezon province.
The President cited the PACC report on alleged corruption in the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) when he ticked off the names of the lawmakers and their “misdeeds.”
The report linked Occidental Mindoro Rep. Josephine Ramirez-Sato to ghost projects in her district, Quezon Rep. Angelina Tan to an anomalous road project, Quezon City Rep. Alfred Vargas to extortion, Misamis Occidental Rep. Henry Oaminal and Isabela Rep. Alyssa Sheena Tan to corrupt practices, Northern Samar Rep. Paul Daza to demanding kickbacks, and ACT-CIS party-list Rep. Eric Yap to bid rigging.
