The Buckeye Council Boy Scouts of America Sandy Beaver District will host its annual Cub Scout Day Camp from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. June 14 through 18 at the McKinley Scout Reservation in Lisbon.
This year’s theme is “Weird Science” and features archery, BB guns, sling shots, water activities, fishing, nature and ecology, basic first aid, emergency preparedness, field sports, hiking, handicraft and various Science-Technology-Engineering-Math (STEM)-based scout skills centered around a scientific scout laboratory. Representatives from county, state and municipal agencies will be on premises throughout the week providing hands-on expertise and demonstrations for all participants. “Friday Family Day” will conclude the program complete with a bonfire, special visitors, and an overnight family campout (weather and Covid-19 restrictions permitting).
