CHENNAI: The Tamil Nadu government on Monday directed Anna University to conduct a re-exam for engineering students who appeared for an online proctored test in February.
Engineering colleges complained that the pass percentage in the exam was low due to multiple choice-based questions and the university has withheld the results of many students. Following the complaints from the students about the test, chief minister M K Stalin conducted a review meeting with higher education minister K Ponmudi, secretary Apoorva, and officials from Anna University on Monday.
Considering the hardships faced by the students, the government directed the university to conduct re-exams for students who appeared for the online proctored tests in February. More than four lakh students took the online exam then.
