Andanar shared photos of his reunion with former workmates on his official Facebook page. The courtesy visit took place on Tuesday. "Couldn't help but feel nostalgic seeing my previous colleagues at my former station, TV5, where I served most of my career in media," he captioned. In his "Ask Me Anything, Anywhere" segment aired on his Facebook page on Tuesday, Andanar said he had the chance to catch up with President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Robert Galang and News5 chief Luchi Cruz-Valdes among other officials and colleagues. He thanked them for their "warm welcome", noting that he always considered TV5 as his "home." "Parang kailan lang ay ako'y sumali sa gobyerno (It wasn't long ago when I joined government) back in 2016. Ngayon (Now), I have three months left in government at salamat sa pagwelcome sa'kin (and thank you for welcoming me) and thank you for giving me a home to go home to," he added. In October 2021, Andanar said he plans to rejoin private media when President Rodrigo Duterte steps down from office in June 2022. He expressed confidence that he will return as a "wiser" private media personality because of his experience and knowledge in initiating reforms in the state media. "Yes, babalik ako sa media (I will return to the [private] media) armed with vigor and wiser, more knowledge, experience sa pag-reform sa (in reforming the) government and with the advocacy of sustainable communication. What is sustainable communication? It's about being able to communicate and assist all the sustainable projects and activities of the community, the country and even the world," he said. In a March 9 interview in PolitikoTV Channel, Andanar was asked to pick among the country's top TV stations namely Kapamilya (ABS-CBN), Kapuso (GMA), Kapatid (TV5), and Kapamella (AMBS), he picked the Kapatid station. He also clarified that he has no plans to move to a television station owned by former Senator Manny Villar. Andanar was appointed by Duterte as PCOO chief in 2016 and later named acting presidential spokesperson in March 2022. Prior to his appointment, he served as a television news anchor, radio commentator, podcaster, video and audio blogger, and voice-over artist. He also headed the News5 Everywhere, the online news video and audio portal of TV5. (PNA) }
