President Donald Trump was permanently banned from Twitter on Friday, a decision many had advocated for months and even years.
Anand Giridharadas says he's long been in a private group with Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey, and along with others has advocated action on Trump, and Dorsey suddenly exited the day of the Capitol assault, two days before the ban.
Professor Brian Ott, who's studied Trump and his Twitter usage for years, says he believes Twitter could have banned him under its policies at almost any time during his presidency.
