Los Angeles Angels pitcher
SHOHEI OHTANI started out last night’s game against the Chicago White Sox with a bang. In the top of the first, he threw a 101 mile per hour fastball on the way to striking out
ADAM EATON.
Then in the bottom of the inning, he hit a 451-foot home run that left the stadium going about 115.
Ohtani’s pitch is the fastest of any pitcher this season so far . . . and the same goes for his homer. Last night he also became the first starting pitcher to bat second in a game since Jack Dunleavy in 1903.
