BJP leaders who were sent to Bengal held virtual meetings for everything: Chatterjee
Sovan Chatterjee blamed the state leadership of the BJP for its loss in the 2021 West Bengal Assembly elections. The former mayor of Kolkata, Chatterjee had left Trinamool Congress (TMC) for the BJP in August 2019.
Chatterjee, who was known to be a close confidante of Mamata Banerjee, said 'bogus information' was being relayed to the BJP's central leadership during the polls.
A few days before the assembly polls earlier this year, Sovan Chatterjee resigned from the BJP, along with his close aide Baisakhi Banerjee.
