Amit Shah Cancels Saturday's Visit to Kolkata Hours After Blast at Israel Embassy in Delhi

Hours after a low-intensity explosion took place near the Israel Embassy in the heart of Lutyens' Delhi on Friday evening, Union Home Minister Amit Shah cancelled his visit to Kolkata on Saturday.
Shah was scheduled to arrive in Kolkata on Friday night on a two-day visit to take stock of the BJP's preparedness ahead of the Assembly elections in West Bengal.
"Due to unavoidable circumstances, all scheduled programmes of Amit Shah for Saturday have been cancelled," an official statement from the party said.
