Four students of the AuTrain-Onota School participated in the recent DAR American History Contest chaired by Onagomingkway Chapter Chair Sarah Smart. Eighth grader Noah Linne, seventh grader Zoe Marcotte, and sixth grader Isaac Merryman all received a Bronze Medal for winning their grade level. Wyatt Merryman also participated. All four students also took home a certificate and cash prize. The topic this year was “The Boston Massacre” to recognize the 250th anniversary of the event which started the American Revolution. These essays won at the chapter level and will go on to judging at state level.
