AMD design centre puts India on way to the top of chip value chain

Semiconductor giant AMD has inaugurated its largest global design centre in Bengaluru which will employ about 3000 engineers Earlier this year, Micron announced setting up an assembly, testing and packaging plant in Gujarat. These moves position India across the semiconductor value chain a critical industry essential for digital devices.
