Amazon appears to be happy with the success of the Chris Pratt-led
The Tomorrow War, as a sequel is in development. Deadline reports that Amazon Studios, Skydance Media, and Paramount are in talks with director Chris McKay as well as Pratt for a follow-up film to the sci-fi actioner, as well as screenwriter Zach Dean and cast members Yvonne Strahovski, Betty Gilpin, Sam Richardson, Edwin Hodge, and J.K. Simmons.
The Tomorrow War was originally scheduled to hit theaters through Paramount, but was sold to Amazon due to the pandemic for a $200 million price tag. The film released last weekend and, according to Samba TV, was watched by 2.41 million US households during its first four days. The film also debuted at #1 across streaming platforms over the holiday weekend and was debuted in over 240 countries and territories via Prime.
