Amador Valley High School broke ground Wednesday on construction for a new shade structure that will provide students some much-needed relief from the Tri-Valley heat.
Principal Josh Butterfield thanked the community for their support at the groundbreaking ceremony at the school, which was also attended by Pleasanton Unified School District trustees, cabinet members and former trustee Valerie Arkin, a current City Council member.
