Altru sends letters to Devils Lake residents, expressing interest in hospital ownership or management there
4,000 letters were emailed Thursday, telling residents that Altru is "committed to this community and intends to remain in the region for the long term.” Later, in an interview with the Herald, an Altru executive said discussions have been held that could lead to a potential purchase of the Devils Lake hospital.

GRAND FORKS — Altru Health System on Thursday, July 1, sent 4,000 emailed letters to residents of Devils Lake, N.D., outlining the system’s commitment to that community, and later in the day confirmed discussions have begun that could potentially lead to managing or purchasing St. Alexius Hospital.
