QUEZON CITY, Mar. 15 (PIA) – As the government continues the COVID-19 inoculation, almost 13 percent of the 1.7 million estimated healthcare workers from the hospital and community across the country have already received the COVID-19 vaccines, DOH Undersecretary Leopoldo Vega said in an interview on March 11, 2021.
The country started its vaccination rollout on March 1 with the 600,000 doses of CoronaVac Sinovac vaccine donated by the Chinese government, and 525,600 amounts of AstraZeneca from the COVAX facility.
As of March 10, 2021 according to Philippine COVID-19 Vaccine Deployment and Vaccination Campaign Bulletin No. 10, there were 422 implementing units conducting COVID-19 vaccinations in various vaccination sites in 17 regions.
In addition, 11.2% or 114,615 out of 1,020,753 master listed eligible population have been vaccinated. Of which, 10.0% or 101,827 were vaccinated with Sinovac and 1.3% or 12,788 were vaccinated with AstraZeneca.
