ALLIANCE City Council approved the 2021 budget.
The general fund, which totals $12.9 million, includes $4.5 million for police, $2.9 million for fire and $1 million for general admin safety.
City Auditor Kevin Knowles said the fund is "similar to what it's been" in years past.
During Monday's council meeting, Knowles said appropriations for the fire budget will likely be lowered once the city receives funds from the Staffing for Adequate Fire and Emergency Response grant.
"We still are owed some money from last year, so that will reduce the amount that we expend from that department," he said.
Knowles said Alliance has pavement projects planned for Sawburg Avenue and Union Avenue (Route 183) this year.
