No date has been announced for when renovations are to begin or a projected opening date. The Free Press was unable to reach city planners Sunday afternoon.
The grocer will be within walking distance of a Lowe's, Massage Green Spa, Starbucks and Five Guys. Currently, The Hill's main grocery store is Meijer, with some fresh produce and groceries available at Target on the other side of the shopping center.
Other new businesses coming soon to The Hill include an Aspen Dental location across from Chick-fil-A and a Crafty Crab seafood restaurant in the former Johnny Carino's location near Lowe's.
The city also announced that plans for a Dunkin' doughnuts shop have been submitted. It will be located in the former site of the Allen Park City Hall and Police Department on Southfield Road near the TownPlace Suites.
