Melyssa Lombardi wanted to see more consistency from Oregon’s hitters after they were limited in a doubleheader sweep on Saturday.
The No. 6 Ducks responded with 26 hits, 13 for extra bases including six home runs, and scored in seven of 10 innings in a 10-2 win over Boise State in six innings and 16-0 win over Portland State in five innings on Sunday at Jane Sanders Stadium.
“I really like that the team accepted our challenge and they responded, that was good stuff,” Lombardi said. “Today you got to see what our lineup could look like top to bottom, one through nine, and even coming off the bench. I really love how they responded.”
