Activision CEO Bobby Kotick said during the call that the
Call of Duty series had attracted over 250million players in 2020, which was an increase of 180million since 2017.
The popularity of free-to-play games such as
Call of Duty: Mobile is partly responsible for the increase in players.
The franchise as a whole “sustained more than 100 million monthly active players” for a fifth consecutive quarter, which is up from 40million in 2018.
Chief financial officer Dennis Durkin also confirmed in the earnings call that there will be a “another strong premium”
