The locally owned pest control company honored Nunnery today for Teacher Appreciation Week with an award presentation in front of her students and colleagues. Nunnery was rewarded with a certificate for 10 years of free pest control—ant, spider, tick and termite protection, mosquito reduction and yard treatment services.
Dr. Nate Miley, Crieve Hall Elementary School's principal, nominated Nunnery for her selflessness in the way she pivoted during the pandemic. When COVID-19 shut down schools in March 2020, she created a virtual classroom on Zoom that taught writing and enabled students to share their written stories and news articles with one another. The virtual class reached students at Crieve Hall Elementary School, students from other schools in the Metro Nashville area and out-of-state students.
