Pope francis celebrates an outdoor mass on the final day of his tour, we are live in paraguay. Euro zone finance ministers are meeting on attempts for a third greek bailout. They are trying to find a solution. The greek government has 24 hours to convince creditors it can be trusted to enact reforms and secure a bailout. 323 billion euros are owed to creditors, including euro zone countries, youre zone bank and i. M. F. 175 of greek g. D. P. Repayments will last another generation, about 40 years. The latest plan, greek asks for 54 billion euros to cover its debts for the next three years including a 1. 6 billion youre rerepayment that should have been paid to the i. M. F. Last month. Its next repayment is coming up fast. It owes 3. 5 billion euros on july 20. Greece cannot repay without another injection of cash. Prime minister Alexis Tsipras is speaking in brussels, attending a meeting of the euro zone. I am here for another compromise. We owe that to the peoples of europe who want the People United and not divided. We can reach an agreement tonight if all parties want it. Well have extensive coverage of this story. We are issue athens and brussels. The greek Prime Minister said this can be evolved if everybody wants it. Everybody doesnt want the same thing. What can you tell us about any progress being made . Everybody fundamentally does want the same thing a stable euro. Angela merkels words were in many ways saying we want the right answer for greek and europe. The problem is that there is certain tension there. What might go good for greece in some ways might not be good for the rest of the european union. We have seen tension in these talks between the germans and Eastern European and Northern European countries in one camp and the other camp led by the french and italians, sympathetic with the greek position. Angela merkel saying we need a deal thats right for europe, as well as for greece. President Francois Hollande of france stressing the aim and objective of this meeting was very much to keep greece within the euro. A lot of people arriving, including the president of the european commission, expressing optimism that an agreement could be reached tonight. Its important to stress that even if an agreement is reached tonight between the leaders before the actual next round of talks for a new bailout could begin, they would in many cases have to have approval from the different european parliaments so those bailout talks if agreed upon in principle couldnt start for a few weeks yet. Lets go live in athens. How are people there feeling as this just continues to carry on . Well, people here are feeling well, insecure, of course, because of the closure of the banks. A lot of people have in fact weve been told in recent days rushed to pay their taxes or any other arrears they may have had with the public sector, expecting or fearing a haircut on their bank deposits. This has had an inadvertent good results in that people are trying to get the money into their creditors accounts, in this case, the greek state. On the whole theres insecurity, people are holding their breath, waiting to see whether greece is going to in fact be given a chance to keep its place in the euro zone or is going to be thrown out. The statement we heard from the greek Prime Minister that a deal is still possible if all parties want it closely reflects what we said earlier today about the primary spokesman is athens. It is not an unsurmountable obstacle. Germany saying we can overcome it with the right allowances and the positions were the words of the parliamentary spokesman here. That reflects of course the preoccupation of the government, the fact that it has a concerted front against it. Last night, one of the elite remarks made anonymously to the greek media from the greek Government Official was that not everybody does want this deal. Some people are working actively against it. That is the mindset reached yet early on saturday morning, in other words when the measures that creditors demanded were passed in parliament, his remark was we are now heading into a minefield, this is it, this is the fact that hes got to face his enemies and not just friends. All right. John live from athens, thank you. Frances foreign minister said he believes talks on an Iranian Nuclear deal are in the final phase. They are trying to get a deal done by monday. Kerry said there were tough issues to be ironed out but he remains hopeful of a breakthrough. Whats happening where you are . John kerry also saying that hed had some very positive meetings with his iranian counterpart. Diplomatics telling us that it is a very positive mood. They believe they are pretty close, but not a done deal yet. That was also the sort of comment that was coming out from the French Foreign minister, who arrived here a couple of hours ago. I hope, i hope we are finally entering the last stage of this marathon negotiation. You know the position of france. It is a position of constructive firmness. I hope that it will allow us to reach the end now quickly to a satisfying result. What are the sticking points . Weve been dancing around the same sticking points for the time they have been leer, about access for inspectors on the ground in iran, where would they be able to go to make sure iran was complying with any deal and the whole of u. N. Sanctions resolution and how you would lift anxious in a way that would satisfactory bolt the international negotiators and the iranians. Exactly which parts of those still remain is not clear because some problems have definitely been cleared up. Thats what the u. S. Secretary of state john kerry said as he was making his way to the talks a few hours ago. Sources ive been speaking to say that things could move quite a lot when we get the Russian Foreign minister Sergey Lavrov coming here. We expect him in an hour or so here in vienna to join the talks. We expect the Prime Minister to arrive too then well have all of them in place. I expect you can have a final meeting of all those negotiates with iran, the six count ribs, and then quite possibly later today, a meeting of them with the iranians. Im told, though, even if all that goes very well, a high level source told me even if you did in effect have a deal in place, the earliest they could actually announce it probably would be tuesday, because of all the paperwork that would have to be done. I was told that its too optimistic to suggest that a deal could take place sunday. Its more likely one would be announced on monday. When that happens we absolutely will be on top of that. James bays, thank you. A palestinian has been freed from prison in israel after spending almost two months on Hunger Strike, has been given a heros welcome home. He was released for holding a Hunger Strike which lasted 55 days. This Hunger Strike was in protest to the fact that he was held in whats known as administrative detention which effectively means that israel can arrest and hold a palestinian prisoner for six months and then renew it every six months without charge. He is well known in many parts of palestine and occupied territories, because this is now the second time that he has held a learning strike while in administrative detention. In 2012, he went on a Hunger Strike for 66 days before the israelis released him. This form of nonviolent protest to administrative detention which is deeply controversial a move used by the israelis criticized by a number of International Bodies that the fact of the matter is that the protest has allowed the release. There are four others still held in israeli prisons without charge. Its very, very unlikely that we will see israel changing its policy about administrative detention anytime soon.
