President took office now i can add to what my colleague she had recounts he has said in terms of what this means for you and i will we see the president s Financial Information something that he has broken precedent with in terms of not wanting to release his tax returns and that has to do with the nature of how a grand jury works and i know i grew up outside of the United States so i was not familiar with this until i moved to the United States but a grand jury is essentially not a jury that you would have in a regular Court Setting where you would have a ruling and the outcome would be public a grand jury is very secret what it is is that its a body of peers and colleagues said and ordinary americans who sit and decide and look at evidence and then decide if charges should be late so its very rare that you would see any of the material thats being considered now having said that leaks do occur and that could occur in this case but again it appears that this ruling means that while the Supreme Court has ruled 7 to 2 that this goes back to a lower court it does appear that these financial records will be made available to a grand jury that doesnt mean its going to go to the public so the president in terms of the timeline this could work in his favor he obviously doesnt want to see this before an election hes already got a difficult path to go in terms of the polls his slumping in terms of support he is losing to joe biden right now with some cases in the double digits hes having a hard time managing the economy as a result of coronavirus so this is not good news for the president at least in the one ruling but again the timeline may work in his favor and the argument from this white house has been from the beginning. This is politically motivated expect that continued to be the case that they will make that argument now that this goes into the hands of a lower court to reexamine given the ruling that has come from the Supreme Court today.
