As the Stay at Home order is lifted today (Feb. 16), Algoma reopens in the yellow zone with 12 active cases in the district.
The yellow zone allows certain businesses to open with strict preventative measures in place and gatherings of 10 people are allowed indoors while outdoor gatherings can include up to 25.
Despite the reopening, Algoma Public Health issued a press release last night urging residents to continue to stay at home as much as possible and avoid close contact with others outside their household.
New cases of COVID-19 cases have been reported across the district in the past 14 days with evidence of community spread.
