Thousands of Russians gathered Wednesday as part of a nationwide demonstration calling for the freedom of Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny.
Navalny's team called for the unsanctioned demonstrations after weekend reports that his health is deteriorating in prison due to a weeks-long hunger strike.
