Alden promotes local nursing director to regional consultant

ROCKFORD — The AldenDebes Short-Term Rehabilitation and Health Care Center recently announced the promotion of registered nurse Cyeria Brown to regional nurse consultant.
As a new graduate in 2014, Brown was hired as a staff nurse at Alden Debes Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Rockford. Due to her integrity and dedication to patient safety and clinical excellence, she was promoted to assistant director of Nursing in 2017, and in less than a year, was promoted to director of nursing.
In her new role as regional nurse consultant, Brown will focus on regulatory compliance, clinical outcomes and the provision of care, programs and services and will identify opportunities to improve patient care and safety throughout her assigned region of post-acute and rehabilitation facilities. Brown obtained her associate of applied science degree from Kishwaukee College and later obtained her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Chamberlain College of Nursing, where she is currently pursuing her master’s degree. She is also licensed by the state of Illinois as a registered nurse and is a certified infection preventionist.
