ALBANY - A local restaurant association believes it should be included in a pandemic-related tax break that was made available last month to New York City eateries and others that were in “orange” or “red” zones during the height of the COVID-19 outbreak last year.
“Portions of the Capital Region last year met the criteria to become an orange or red zone,” said Jason Pierce, who operates the Savoy Tap Room and Copper Crow, and who heads the Albany Restaurant Association.
