Ashley Mac’s in Birmingham is beloved for its creamy pimento cheese, flavorful poppyseed chicken and luscious strawberry cake.
But at Christmastime, the employees at Ashley Mac’s café and catering look forward to a holiday treat that you won’t find anywhere on the menu.
Chef and owner Ashley McMakin calls it “reindeer food,” and when Christmas comes around each year, she delivers large aluminum catering pans filled with the sweet-and-salty snack to her employees at all five Ashley Mac locations in the Birmingham metro area.
