Airline fires 2 pilots after emergency door flew off U.P.-bound airplane just before takeoff

GOGEBIC COUNTY, MI – Two pilots have been fired after an airplane’s emergency exit door was in ripped off moments before a flight to Michigan’s Upper Peninsula.
WLUC-TV reports that the Boutique Airlines pilots failed to complete a pre-flight checklist, causing the door to open moments before take-off.
Tom Yon of Wakefield said that his carry-on bag was sucked out of the opening during a flight from Minneapolis to Ironwood. Several other passengers also relayed their uncomfortable experiences during the incident during a Gogebic-Iron County Airport board meeting on Monday
