They are sold at many retailers like Amazon and Walmart and they range in price. Some smaller and more basic versions of these kitchen gadgets can be around $50 while larger and more high-tech versions can be upwards of $100.
Based on some research and articles by the New York Times and Washington Post, many people purchase these small appliances with the idea that they will help their family make healthier and faster meals.
I resisted purchasing these items for a while because I did not think they were necessary to make meals and, as mentioned earlier, they can be pricey items. They also take up a lot of space which may not be ideal for your home kitchen. However, over the summer I got married and decided to include these items on our registry.
