CHENNAI: The ruling AIADMK in Tamil Nadu on Sunday promised the provision of free houses --through the Amma Housing scheme -- to all those who do not have a house at present. While in rural areas, the government will identify housing sites and build concrete houses for free, in urban areas it will construct residential apartments for the homeless on government land.
