However, telling females apart from males is difficult when looking only at their shell side. To tackle this issue, researchers from Japan developed a deep learning-based model that can accurately and reliably distinguish male and female crabs. Their strategy could prove useful to ensure responsible fishing and aid in conservation efforts.</p>
