A total of 48 societies across Ahmedabad have been quarantined by the health authorities in the city after the latest spike in COVID-19 cases.

The health authorities in Ahmedabad are alarmed and concerned yet again as the second wave of COVID-19 grips the city. Several socities across the city are being placed under lockdown and being quarantined on a daily basis. The number of quarantined societies in Ahmedabad has now reached 48 as the officials aim to keep the situation under control.
As per a report in the Times of India, over 70% of the quarantined societies are from the western part of Ahmedabad and most of them high-end societies. Societies in areas such as Navrangpura, South Bopal and Chandkheda among others have been placed in quarantine to restrict the movement of the residents and stop the spread of the infection.
