Chief Okey Ahaiwe on Saturday emerged winner of the rerun Governorship Primary election of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Abia State for the March 11 election. Ahaiwe scored 496 votes to win the re run PDP primary following the death of the former candidate, Prof Uche Ikonne. Edo State Governor, Goodwin Obaseki, who chaired the PDP Election committee, announced the result of the primary on Saturday after votes were counted. According to him, Ahaiwe polled a total of 469 to beat other aspirants.
