As Columbia River Treaty negotiations continue, the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers are discussing potential changes when the treaty expires in September 2024.
"We don't see an inability to continue delivering water to the Columbia Basin Project," said Roland Springer, bureau deputy regional director. "Part of our mission is delivering irrigation water. We take that very seriously and we do all we can to preserve that ability."
