US attorney doesn’t rule out Trump charges
Acting U.S. Attorney Michael Sherwin of Washington, D.C., on Thursday promised a criminal review of “all actors” in the assault on the U.S. Capitol. Asked if the review will include President Donald Trump and his statements to supporters before the riot, Sherwin replied, “We are looking at all actors here, and anyone that had a role, if the evidence fits the element of a crime, they’re going to be charged.” Trump had urged supports to “fight like hell” and to march to the Capitol. Prosecutors have already charged 15 people, Sherwin said. (The Washington Post, CNN)
