After strong proposal, Visalia could be ready to dive into aquatic center
After 20 years, one councilman’s fight for an aquatics center could be coming to an end.
Greg Collins, once a water polo coach, lifeguard and swim instructor, has been pushing for an aquatics center for the city of Visalia.
After his last presentation, the Visalia Parks and Recreation committee praised Collins for his work on the project and the updated plans.
"I have been listening silently the whole time, and I have to compliment you how this was presented this time around it gives Parks and Rec commission... I pray the council supports this project and you get the support you need, Greg," said Parks and Recreation committee Vice Chair, Patrick Lozano.
