After Indianapolis mass shooting, DA McMahon decries ‘preventable’ gun violence

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -- A mass shooting at a FedEx facility in Indianapolis Thursday left eight people dead in the latest instance of mass-fatality gun violence in the United States — a longstanding issue Staten Island District Attorney Michael E. McMahon said the country is falling short on addressing.
Brandon Hole, the 19-year-old shooter, legally purchased two semiautomatic firearms used in the attack just months after police seized a shotgun from him when his mother raised concerns about his mental state, the New York Times first reported.
