After Delays, Beaches Turks and Caicos Officially Reopens
After beings plagued with delays, Beaches Turks and Caicos officially reopened its doors on Monday.
The property, located on the island of Providenciales, was scheduled to reopen on Oct. 14 before two month-long postponements.
Beaches Turks and Caicos has been involved with an ongoing dispute regarding an alleged $26 million tax bill government officials say is owed by Beaches. An arbitration that was planned for Nov. 18 did not move ahead as scheduled, leaving the standoff in limbo.
Sandals Resorts International also pointed to the months-long process of expanding its health and safety measures, including a triple-check system for cleaning and sanitation that encompass 18 key touchpoints – starting from the moment guests arrive at Beaches airport lounges, through to the entire on resort experience, from arrival to dining, activities, fitness centers, and butler service.
