Church said he wanted more in-person learning, keeping in mind current COVID-19 restrictions.
"I would prefer a can-do than can’t-do attitude," Church said about remaining on the hybrid plan “What I’m kind of hearing, correct or not, is the kids and the parents want to go back, and what I am hearing is you know better what is good for them no matter what.”
But Superintendent Kristen McNeill strongly defended the district.
"Trustee Church, with all due respect, sir, I am going to take exception with a can- and can’t-do attitude. Because the Washoe County School District is one of the largest urban school districts that has been open since Day 1,” McNeill said.
