This interactive virtual event, hosted by the Chemistry Industry Association of Canada (CIAC) Plastics Division and the Canada Plastics Pact (CPP), will lay the groundwork for what a circular economy for plastics could look like in Canada. Across the country, there are countless companies and organizations already advancing initiatives that are crucial to successfully moving to a more circular economy for plastics. However, many of these projects are operating in silos, without clear direction and incentive to accelerate them towards full scale commercialization and deployment.
Realizing Technology Innovations to Recirculate Plastics will focus on the unique experiences of five leading Canadian companies, working on collaborative projects within different regions across Canada. Each collaboration is working to scale-up advanced plastics recycling, a critical component to closing the loop on the circular economy in Canada, by bringing together the unique skills, technologies, and perspectives of various members across the value chain.
