Address ordinance aimed at reducing confusion
County officials had looked at imposing property tax after the on-post housing manager opened rentals to everyone, not just military families.
Liberty County residents may want to take a fresh look at the street numbers identifying their homes and businesses. The commissioners expanded the ordinance governing street naming and addressing at their February meeting.
Owners of houses, buildings and other structures have been required to display street numbers at least four inches high and one-half inch wide. Numbers should be visible from the street and displayed within three feet of the front entrance.
