The NSX we've been waiting for is almost here.
We recently spotted Acura testing a mysterious NSX prototype, leading us to believe a new version would arrive imminently. Just a few days later, Acura has officially announced that 2022 will be the NSX's final model year, and it's going out with a bang. The 2022 Acura NSX will spawn a limited-edition Type S variant for the first time since 2001. Acura will only build 350 units worldwide, and the United States is lucky enough to receive 300 of them.
No specific performance details are available yet, as this is meant to act as a small glimpse prior to an official reveal. The press release states the NSX Type S, "raises the already impressive performance of Acura's cutting-edge electrified supercar to new levels." We should expect more than the base car's 573 horsepower.
