AZETS, which claims to be the largest regional accountancy and business adviser to SMEs, is to recruit 36 graduates and school leavers as trainees who will start with the firm in August. Nearly 200 graduate trainees and school leavers have been recruited across Scotland by the group since 2013.
Graduates complete a three or four-year programme and study towards their chartered accountancy qualification while the school leaver route is a six-year programme which includes two apprenticeship programmes leading to a qualification in AAT then a chartered accountancy qualification.
Peter Gallanagh, chief executive for Scotland and the north at Azets, said: “Investing in our people is central to how we run the business, and our recent announcement that staff will be able to work from anywhere is a good example of how we are helping then gain the most from their careers. This is a great time to start a career in accountancy and we wish our new recruits every success as they develop their careers.”
